DI ~ Day 4

Another day at CHLA. Today I was scared to go! I really didn't want a dressing change or another LP. To my delight I didn't have either :). After chemo on Thursday I was sick. I threw up and layed in bed. I felt better pretty quick. Today I got a chemo called Peg. Last time I got this chemo I got pancreatitis from it. I pray that I don't this time. I have been taking steroids every day twice a day! I get really tired of that!! I plan on spending all day in bed when I get home. :)

At the transfusion lab today! It was freezing!
Yesterday! Feeling more Spunky!

DI ~ Day One

Day one -

What a long day. First I had a Lumbar Punture with Methotrexate in it. Next was my doctor visit. My parents got the run down on this phase of treatment. Looks like it is going to be a lot of new chemotherapy and more steroids. One of the chemotherapies I got today was a red one refered to as the "Red Devil" because it's red in color and devil because it's known to cause heart complications. We are all praying I don't get that side effect. I also got vincristine. I go back to the infusion center Monday and Thursday for more chemo. :-/. I will keep you all posted on my progress. I plan on a lot of sleeping and cuddling with my family!!

Delayed Intensification. Round 4

I leave today to go stay in LA cause I have a procedure in the morning.  I can't eat or drink anything before my "LP."  A LP is a Lumbar Puncture where they put chemo in my spine. It helps to prevent the spread of the Leukemia in my central nervous system. I do like having it done cause I am asleep when they change my PICC line dressing. Then I see Dr. Baskin in the afternoon. Following my check up and review of my blood counts I get to see my friends in Clinic. These lovely ladies in clinic make me laugh and smile. They give me my chemo. I am starting a new round of chemo tomorrow too. Some of the chemo is new to me. Praying for few side effects. I also have to start steroids again. Steroids make me REALLY moody and hungry. Dr. Baskin told me on my last visit I probably will feel yucky and weak during this round. I may also loose the rest of my hair during this round. My Mommy has bought me tons of hats and headbands. Bald is beautiful!

Mammoth Mountain

  August 15 - 17, 2014

I went to Mammoth Mountain and got to celebrate my week off before my next round of chemo. I don't let cancer hold me back! I zip lined, rock climbed, rode a scenic gondola and bungee jumped! I'm a little bit of a thrill seeker ( I get that from my Daddy!)
