I was hospitalized

On Tuesday morning I was coughing and sneezing. Then started coughing up blood and having a bloody nose. This meant another trip to CHLA. I really didn't like seeing the blood it really scared me! I was sad too, I didn't want to go back to the doctor on my week off. Mommy and Daddy took me anyway. We got to Children's Hospital of Los Angeles and went to the ER. They got me right in with no waiting. They said my counts are so low that I can get sick to easy. They started off with taking my labs. The doctor said I was going to need more transfusions. The doctor said the bleeding was because of the chemotherapy made my platelets low. Since I had been having fevers and had chemotherapy induced neutropenia I was going to be hospitalized. NOOO it scares me to stay away from home! Once I finally got my room at the hospital they hooked me up to a heart monitor and started LOTS of IV antibiotics. Next they tested me for a bacterial infection an a array of viruses. The nurses sure check you a lot at night, makes sleeping really hard. My Mommy stayed by my slide the entire time. I tested positive for enterovirus. I was also having some stomach pain...so after a few days and a good poop I got to go home! I finally left Thursday evening! The nurses are nice and everyone was really sweet. I am just really happy to be home!
Thank goodness for iPads. Helped passed the time in isolation
